This policy explains how SalonRestock collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information. We aim to comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply.
Information we collect
We may collect names, business details, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, account credentials, order and payment-related information, customer-service communications, marketing preferences, device identifiers, IP addresses, cookies and site-usage data. Payment card details are generally processed by Shopify or other payment providers rather than stored by us.
How we collect and use information
We collect information directly from you and automatically through the site, and may receive it from Shopify, payment, delivery, analytics and marketing providers. We use it to operate accounts, process and deliver orders, provide Auto-Restock, prevent fraud, support customers, improve the store, comply with law and send marketing where permitted.
Disclosure and overseas processing
We may disclose information to Shopify, payment processors, couriers, IT, hosting, analytics, marketing, professional advisers, regulators and prospective purchasers of our business where appropriate. Some providers may store or process information outside Australia; their locations can change. We take reasonable steps required by law when using overseas providers.
Cookies and marketing
Cookies support checkout, preferences, security, analytics and advertising. Browser controls may disable cookies, but some functions may not work. You can unsubscribe from marketing using the link in an email or by contacting us; service messages may still be sent.
Storage and security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect information and retain it only as long as reasonably required for business and legal purposes. No online system is completely secure.
Access, correction and complaints
You may request access to or correction of your personal information, or make a privacy complaint, by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity. We will respond within a reasonable time and explain any lawful refusal. If unresolved, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes
We may update this policy and will post the current version here with its effective date.
